ATAVATAN TURKMENISTAN – Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the US Deputy Secretary of State

On September 22, 2025, in New York City, within the framework of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the Deputy Secretary of State of the United States of America Christopher Landau.

During the meeting, the current state and development prospects of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States were discussed.

The interlocutors emphasized that the development of economic cooperation is a key area of ​​​​bilateral relations, and particularly emphasized the importance of cooperation in the investment and technological sectors.

The role of the Turkmen-American Business Council, which unites leading US companies and promotes the expansion of business relations, was confirmed. The sides also discussed a number of issues of mutual interest on the international and regional agenda.
