Atavatan Turkmenistan – Turkmen National Leader Meets with Eric Stewart in the U.S.

As we previously reported, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the head of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council Eric Stewart within the framework of his visit to the United States.

As noted in the Vatan news program, Turkmen-American trade and economic cooperation was discussed during the meeting.

The business reaffirmed the high interest of the U.S. business groups in strengthening their position in the emerging market with a favorable investment environment, and emphasized Turkmenistan's leading role in international cooperation. This in itself is a testimony to the growing prestige of our country in the international arena.

One of the main issues of the negotiations was the work of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council. Founded in 2008 on the initiative of the hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, this council has established itself as an effective tool for the development of bilateral economic relations with a long-term perspective. Regular meetings and consultations held within its framework provide an opportunity to strengthen relations between government agencies and business groups of the two countries, as well as to establish new mutually beneficial cooperation.
